YOUR ROLE

As a QA Engineer (m/f/d) at StudySmarter, you have a direct impact on the quality of our product, which is used by millions of students and pupils.
Together with you, we help everyone to achieve their learning goals and make StudySmarter the world’s #1 learning platform!

The following tasks will await you:

  • Support our cross-functional teams in building high-quality products
  • Manually test functional & UX aspects of tickets when ready for testing
  • Document, verify, and revise test cases on TestRail
  • Extend our end-to-end test coverage using Cypress
  • Create clear & accurate bug reports, and help the team with reproducing issues
  • Assist with continuously optimizing our QA processes
  • Participate in review and analysis of new product requirements
  • Ensure each release meets well-defined quality standards by working closely on estimates, statuses and risks
  • Provide compatibility checks to ensure that new product updates can be released smoothly to existing users

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 💼 4+ years of experience as a QA engineer | 2+ years of experience in web test automation with Javascript and 2+ years of experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications
  • ⎔Theoretical and practical knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • 👩‍💻 Familiarity with quality metrics and values; functionality, UI/UX, and performance
  • 💻 Expertise in documenting and troubleshooting errors and the ability to estimate QA activities required for our project
  • 📄 Experience with testing Web products, as well RESTful backends
  • 🙌 Great collaboration and communication skills: Speaking English fluently to work with a multi-national team
  • 🗂Ability to work in autonomous and structured manner
  • 💪Motivation to build the #1 learning platform software in the world

Would be a plus:

  • ➕ Excellent hand-on skills in Cypress & Javascript/Typescript
  • ➕ Familiar with test management tools such as TestRail and tracking tools like Jira & Confluence
  • ➕ Familiarity with relational databases, agile frameworks and regression testing
