Known popularly as Volleyball Development Camps (VbDC) it is the oldest established commercial volleyball training service in the United Kingdom and has trained around 2500 student athletes, with some participants going on to play at university, on their national team, professionally or in global events such as the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. VbDC uses the best available facilities for its courses and works with highly qualified coaches, including many who are internationally recognised for their achievements. Training is delivered in a carefully constructed curriculum with a ratio of approximately one coach per six athletes.

What do we do? 

  • Volleyball training for athletes age 10-up, in week-long or weekend camps each designed for one of seven carefully defined skill levels or for specific skill development
  • Optional programs available, such as English language activities involving immersive education designed to improve competence in conversational English.a
  • Residential option for week-long summer camps for students from overseas or travelling long distance, featuring fully inclusive room and board package with 24/7 chaperoning on a university campus or with host families.
  • Bespoke camps for schools and clubs provided domestically and abroad.


What makes us special? 

Total commitment to quality of training and innovative forms of curriculum has made VbDC a leader in volleyball training. The longer camps are led by coaches with experience in many environments and international settings. Athletes from abroad regularly attend the summer sessions in England not just to widen their experience of training under different coaching styles delivered by internationally recognised coaches, but for the cultural experience of visiting England and practicing their English language use.
